The history of Radcliffe On Trent is extremely well covered, however, what is lacking is any knowledge of the archaeological record and inevitably therefore the early history of Radcliffe is very unclear. In particular we know nothing about the origin. The Radcliffe Archaeology Project is hoping to address the issue. The Scout Hut will be a start and a further dig planned in the Lamcote area near to river Trent.

Although archaeology has a very serious side we’re hoping to make this dig an enjoyable and community experience.
